Our perception of our self can be distorted at times, similar to how things look through a rain-covered window. We must also take into account the perceptions of those closest to us in order to fully see and be aware of ourselves. Similar to being on the outside of a window and looking in.
Description
This art print is produced on photo rag ultra smooth fine art paper with certified archivability to guarantee that it lasts a lifetime without fading, yellowing, or loss of color. It includes a 1/4″ to 1/2″ white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired. The image itself is 8×10″ printed on an 8.5×11″ paper size. It is recommended to frame this with an anti-glare glass and keep out of direct sunlight.
Self Awareness is featured in the artist’s book, “Exposed: The Naked Truth on Beauty”. This painting was inspired on a rainy night while the artist was sitting in bed reflecting on her day after the kids had gone to bed, with the only light coming from a scented candle she had lit. As she looked out the window, she wondered what it would be like to be on the other side of that rainy window looking in.
