Mismatched Perspective

$60.00

A fun painting with mismatched perspectives between the buildings.  The artist is having fun with constantly changing the perspectives in the background while keeping the focal point on the rainbow-colored shirts hanging from the clothesline.  Lots of physical texture.

Description

Have you ever seen an alleyway with clothes hanging from multiple clotheslines, hanging there like colorful kites in the sky?   This painting was started by painting bright, multiple colors all over the canvas.  Once dry, a thick layer of gesso was spread across the canvas to create the texture of the sky mixed with cotton candy pinks and baby blues.  The shirts and clothesline were quickly etched out of the gesso to reveal the colorful paint below.

The artist wanted to keep the focal point on the shirts hanging from the clothesline so she painted the outlines of the buildings in a monotone blue.  Wanting to keep the overall feel of whimsical and fun, she painted them in a cartoonish way with many different perspectives.

This is 12″x12″ with a 1/2″ width that is finished and can be hung without framing.

This is an original painting that comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.  It is shipped in a plastic sleeve, protected by padding inside a cardboard box.
